Since 1981 Royal Crown Derby(RCD) have made the best quality bone china paperweights of animals and birds. They are hand painted and many have gold gilt. All bear the RCD back stamp and are of a superb design. First quality weights generally have a gold stopper although early pieces made for export have no stopper.
