Peter Pan Bronte candle extinguishers or snuffers
Before electricity transformed our homes, candlelit dinners were the rule rather than the exception. Candle snuffers and extinguishers were everyday items and seen on the dining table. These small collectable items are rich in history. Finely sculpted, highly detailed and hand painted, they were made for the unique function of putting out the scores of candles needed to light a room.
The Bronté Porcelain Company Limited was located in Malvern, Worcestershire from 2013 to 2019, It manufactured the very best quality, hand painted, bone china. Every item produced was unique. The late ceramics expert from the Antiques Road Show, Henry Sandon, was one of the founding members of the Bronté factory.
This collection of seven Bronté extinguishers represents James Barrie’s Peter Pan. They include Peter Pan with Tinkerbell, Wendy Darling, Nana, Tiger Lily, Captain Hook, Smee and the Crocodile. All are boxed, fully stamped with certificates and part of a limited edition of 250. All are in perfect condition with the exception of ‘Tiger Lily’ who has a slight repair to one of her feathers. See photograph. You can contact us by email at Sales@AsYouLikeIt.uk or via the contact form on the ‘contact’ page, to arrange to view the item or for more photos of the item and flaws.
